Child-safe, allergy-safe cleaning in Coronado
Coronado households ask for non-toxic cleaning more than almost anywhere else we work, and the reason is specific: small historic houses, young military families, and windows that stay shut against the salt. A conventional product that off-gasses for hours in a 1920s Village cottage with poor cross-ventilation is a different proposition to the same product in a big open modern house.
Plant-based and biodegradable products are what we bring as standard — no chlorine bleach, no ammonia, no synthetic fragrance, no toxic surfactants. There is no green tier and no surcharge. Ask for fragrance-free and you get genuinely unscented, which is not the same thing as green.
Why non-toxic matters more in Coronado
Small historic rooms hold fumes
Village homes from the 1900s–1940s have small rooms, low ceilings and windows that are often painted shut or kept closed against the salt. Whatever a cleaner sprays stays in the air far longer than it would in a newer house. Plant-based products are not a luxury there, they are the difference between a home you can use that evening and one you cannot.
Young families, and a lot of them
With North Island here, Coronado skews young and child-heavy. Babies and toddlers spend their day on the floor with their hands in their mouths. We use products with no chlorine bleach, no ammonia and no synthetic fragrance, so the floor your child crawls on is not holding residue.
Pets, sand and constant mopping
A beach town means floors get mopped far more often than average. More frequent cleaning with harsh product means more cumulative residue on the exact surfaces dogs walk on and lick. Frequency is the reason to care about what is in the bottle.
Base housing and inspection standards
Move-out and inspection cleans still have to pass a white-glove check. Plant-based does not mean weaker — it means the residue left behind is not something the next family inherits.

Coronado non-toxic cleaning questions
Do you offer non-toxic house cleaning in Coronado?Yes. Plant-based, biodegradable products are our standard everywhere we work, including Coronado Village, the Cays, Silver Strand and the Country Club area — there is no premium for it and nothing to request. If you need fragrance-free as well, say so when you book.
Is it safe for babies and crawling toddlers? That is most of why people call us. We use no chlorine bleach, no ammonia, no synthetic fragrance and no toxic surfactants, so floors are not holding residue where a child plays. If you want us to skip a particular product entirely, we will.
Is green cleaning actually as effective?Yes. Professional-grade plant-based products clean as well as conventional ones — the difference is what is left behind, not what comes off. The one honest exception is heavy mineral scale and mould, where we will tell you plainly if something stronger is the right tool and let you decide.
Can you work around someone with asthma or chemical sensitivity?Yes, and we do it often. We can go fragrance-free entirely, ventilate as we work, and sequence rooms so the person affected is never in the room being cleaned. Tell us at the walkthrough.
How much does non-toxic cleaning cost in Coronado? The same $60 per labor hour as every other service and every other neighborhood. Non-toxic is the standard, not an upgrade, so there is no surcharge. Recurring visits typically run $175–$650 per visit depending on home size.
